This painting exhibited extensive cracking, paint instability, and areas of significant loss due to age and deterioration. Conservation began with consolidation to stabilize the fragile paint layers, followed by filling of losses to reinstate the original surface. Careful inpainting was undertaken to visually integrate the damaged areas, and a final protective varnish was applied to enhance saturation while ensuring the long-term preservation of the artwork.
