This ink on paper work presented extensive foxing, widespread water staining, surface grime, and structural deterioration including tears and losses along the edges. Conservation treatment involved careful washing to reduce staining, deacidification to stabilise the paper support, and surface cleaning to restore clarity to the ink composition. Losses were consolidated and the work remounted for long-term preservation.
