This monumental watercolour on paper by K.H.Ara presented severe structural damage including a large tear and significant paint loss in the upper right corner, widespread surface deterioration, and paper instability across the entire composition. Conservation treatment involved careful consolidation of the fragile paper support, repair of the torn section, surface cleaning, and inpainting to reintegrate the areas of loss while preserving the integrity of the original work.
